Description

The Centre for Child Law is pleased to present you with the recently launched "Advocacy Brief: Advancing the Rights of Children with Disabilities" during the Disability Rights Awareness Month.

The Centre is registered as a Law Clinic and through strategic impact litigation aims to set legal precedent to improve and strengthen laws pertaining to children. This advocacy brief is as a result of Consultative Workshops that the Centre conducted in 2015 and 2016. The workshops proved to be exceedingly useful and informative; they ensured that the Centre was able to get an informed sense of the common difficulties and barriers that children with disabilities experience and the possible interventions. This publication is offered as a resource to colleagues in the children's and disability rights sectors to advocate for shared recommendations. We hope that this brief is a useful resource.
