My motivation to join SaferSpaces:

I have worked on women's and girls rights and empowerment locally, regionally and globally for more than 20 years with considerable intersectional engagement with violence against women and children (VAWC); sexual and gender-based violence (GBV); sexuality and human rights;  inequalities and injustices; and HIV/AIDS and public service accountability to women and girls. I facilitate strategic discussions and processes; provide technical assistance and capacity strengthening support, including policy and advoacacy engagement and strategy development; develop learning and knowledge resources; undertake research, specialist writing and editing; and conduct evaluations and assessments. I work with civil society and local and international NGOs, with several UN agencies engaged with GBV and VAWC; development cooperation and organisations like Global Affairs Canada (CIDA) and German GIZ, media, research and academic institutions.
