My motivation to join SaferSpaces:

One in Nine is a feminist collective of individuals and organisations that are working towards a world where women are agents of their own lives including their sexual lives. We are an advocacy organisation that also works with survivors of sexual violence who want to engage with the criminal justice system but also with those that choose not to. We work collectively with women living on the margins; Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Gender-queer and gender non-conforming people, HIV positive Women, Sex workers, Women living with disabilities, migrant Women, Women workers in informal trade.

The Campaign’s work is spread over five areas:

  • Solidarity in action and building feminist activism

  • Media advocacy (Advocacy Media Production Studio)
  • Justice and legal transformation
  • Direct action

- We also design and print t-shirts, posters, banners for other civil society organisation


We offer trainings to women's organisations (women participants)  in the following areas:

  • Developing media messages, concepts and media materials
  • Silk screen printing
  • We run a 10 day feminist spring school
