Expertise
I bring more than 40 years of experience to the table. Having worked as a security and risk management practitioner across South Africa for companies such as Anglo-American Farms, Mercedes Benz, Plessey Tellumat and others, I understand safety and security - urban, rural, community.
As the owner of a SAPS approved and registered training institution I am authorised to present and certify citizens at the highest level of firearm training that can lawfully be awarded to civilians.
I have authored numerous opinions and articles around security and safety and was a founder member of Chapter 213 of the Amercian Society for Industrial Security - Cape Town chapter.
I created the Treasure Karoo Action Group in 2011 - a civil society organisation that managed to stymie the plans of Shell and the Department of Minerals to rush headlong into shale gas exploration in our very sensitive Karoo environment - a move that would certainly have devastated agriculture and tourism and the many South Africans that depend thereon in that area. That battle continues.
