My motivation to join SaferSpaces:

I am a senior lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of South Africa and registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Research Psychologist. The focus of my doctoral study was on the development of youth violence within the South African context. From this, I developed the Theory of Thwarted Belongingness that contributes towards understanding the occurrence of youth violence.
