Giselle Warton – Practitioners

My motivation to join SaferSpaces:

Working as a Researcher for the Safety and Violence Initiative (SaVI), Institute for Safety Governance in the Global South (SafGo) at the University of Cape Town. Giselle has been primarily involved in research on violence against women and children in South Africa. She graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Masters in Social Justice, focusing on refugee and women's rights. Prior to working as a Researcher with SaVI, she worked in the human rights and refugee sector in Lebanon.
