My motivation to join SaferSpaces:

I am an intern at GIZ for the CAADP Programme which is based in the field of agricultural development in Africa. However, I am currently doing my Research Master’s degree in Criminology at the University of Cape Town. My thesis is a comparative analysis on youth involvement in gangs in Lavender Hill, Cape Town and Westbury, Johannesburg, hence my interest on the topics of youth and gangs. I have a background in Criminology, Social Development and International Studies and I am passionate about youth and community development. I volunteer at the Westbury Youth Center where I occassionally help with the after school programme and assist with the feeding scheme
