Call for Inputs into the Draft National Policing Policy – Blog
The Civilian Secretariat for Police Service has commenced the process of developing the National Policing Policy.
The development of the National Policing Policy is based on section 206 (1) of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996 which states that the Minister of Police is responsible for policing, and must determine the National Policing Policy after consulting the provincial governments; taking into account the Provincial Needs and Priorities (PNPs) of the provinces as determined by the provincial executives.
In this regard, the CSPS requests input by way of written submission into the Draft National Policing Policy. Any party who may have an interest in making a contribution to the development of the NPP is encouraged to send written inputs to NPPsubmissions@csp.gov.za on or before the closing date.
The full document is available here or at www.policesecretariat.gov.za.
Closing date for submissions: 30 November 2023
